365 Days with Wildtree, Recipe #32-Lisa's Wildtree Pot Roast

Hey!  I made up a new recipe today adding different Wildtree products.  I was very happy how it turned out.  I used the crockpot.  I have a love/hate relationship with the crockpot.  Love the ease of use and the time saved.  Hate all the recipes that call for some sort of "creme of "fill in the blank" soup" in it-YUK!  Side dishes were mashed potatoes with carmelized onions and green beans.  YUM!

Lisa's Wildtree Pot Roast
Recipe by Me :)

2 cups Wildtree Beef Bouillon Base, prepared according to directions
5 TBSP red wine vinegar
3 pound chuck roast
1 medium onion, cut into slices
1 TBSP Wildtree Rancher Steak Rub
2 tsp Wildtree Garlic Galore Blend

Throw everything in that crockpot.  Cook on HIGH for 4 hours.  Remove roast.  Use pan juices to make a delicious gravy.  How do you do that?  Put all the pan juices in a pyrex dish.  Put it in the freezer to cool.  See if there is any fat that you can spoon out.  Put in a saucepan and put your burner on high.  Once "juices" start to boil, add a small mixture of cornstarch and water.  Stir until thicken.  Voila!  Dinner!

Have a great evening!  :)

  1. Hi Lisa! did you know there is a way to create totally healthy "cream of..." soup mix? I love mine and it adds a lot of richness to my recipes. you can add different items to it to make it cream of chicken, alfredo sauce, etc. Here is the recipe if you are interested: http://foodstorageandmore.com/homemade-cream-of-soup-mix
